Inspired by 1920s French Art Deco furniture, this project was to fully design, source, fabricate, and finish a recreated historical piece of furniture. This design was chosen as it was a particularly difficult build, with next to no right angles. It was a test of patience to carefully calculate the necessary pieces of exposed black walnut, with little room for error given the expense of the material. All upholstery and piping was completed by hand, putting care into the directionality and alignment of the pattern to ensure a cohesive look.
